We are a family who came to this country seeking work opportunities, driven by the desire to fulfill our dreams and goals. That spirit defines us as an entrepreneurial family. We are originally from Guerrero, Mexico—from Tierra Colorada, in the municipality of Juan R. Escudero.
Founders: José A. Vela and Selene Cuevas Dorantes (and children).
Taqueria Vela was born from our traditions and our grandmothers’ recipes, which distinguish our beloved state of Guerrero for its authentic flavors. We prepare traditional, one-of-a-kind dishes with care and dedication. We put our heart into every plate so our guests can enjoy those delicious flavors—and so we can reach every corner of the country.
